1. Who we are
Daily Wisdom Books publishes books and email newsletters under the name Mitra Goris, including the Daily Wisdom Books series and The 30-Day Shift series. This policy explains what personal information we collect through dailywisdombooks.com and our sign up pages, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
For the purposes of data protection law, the data controller is Daily Wisdom Books, 8374 NW 64th St, Miami, FL, 33195.

2. What we collect
Information you give us. Your email address, and your first name if you choose to provide it, when you sign up to receive a free excerpt or the newsletter.
Information collected automatically. Technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.
Email engagement information. Whether an email was delivered, opened, and which links were clicked. This is standard email analytics collected by our email provider.
We do not collect payment information. Books are purchased on Amazon, and Amazon handles those transactions under its own privacy policy. We never see your payment details.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information: health information, religious beliefs, political opinions, or anything similar. Please do not send it to us.
3. Why we use it
We use your information to:
send you the free material you requested
send you our email newsletters and occasional announcements about new books in either series
understand which emails and pages people find useful, so we can write better ones
keep the site and the mailing list secure and functioning
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, ours is your consent, given when you sign up, and our legitimate interest in running and improving a small publishing business. You can withdraw consent at any time, as described in section 7.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with other publishers or advertisers for their own marketing.
We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only as needed to run the service:

Our website and sign up pages are hosted entirely by Kit. When you visit one of our pages or submit the form, Kit processes that information on our behalf under its own privacy and security commitments.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
5. International transfers
We operate from United States and our providers are based principally in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this means your information is transferred outside your region. Our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent approved safeguard for those transfers.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our sign up pages use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
Necessary cookies, set by Kit, which make the page and the form work. These cannot be turned off.
Analytics and advertising technologies, including the Meta pixel, which record that a visit or a sign up happened after you saw one of our advertisements. This lets us measure whether an advertisement is worth running.
The Meta pixel sends limited information about your visit to Meta Platforms, which may match it to a Meta account. You can control this through your Meta account settings under Ads Preferences, and through your browser or device settings for cookies generally.
We do not use cookies to build a profile of you across unrelated websites.
7. Unsubscribing and your choices
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are removed. You do not need to give a reason, and you can keep any free material you already received.
You may also write to mitra@dailywisdombooks.com and ask us to remove you, and we will do it by hand.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy
have inaccurate information corrected
have your information deleted
object to or restrict how we use it
withdraw consent at any time
receive your information in a portable format
If you are in California, you additionally have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law. We will never treat you differently for exercising a right.
To exercise any right, write to mitra@dailywisdombooks.com. We respond within thirty days. We may need to confirm your identity by asking you to write from the email address on file.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your email address for as long as you stay subscribed, and for up to twelve months after you unsubscribe, so that we do not accidentally add you back. After that it is deleted. Analytics information is retained for up to twenty six months.
10. Children
This site and these books are written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We rely on established providers with their own security programmes, and we limit access to the mailing list to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter before they take effect.
